The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) has recently launched its operations in Bangladesh, opening a new door of opportunities for Bangladeshi students. In collaboration with the Premier University of Chittagong and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladeshi students can now enroll directly at UTS’s Sydney campus after completing their first year of undergraduate studies in Bangladesh.
This initiative enables students to get international quality education at affordable cost. After completing the first year of study in Bangladesh, students can continue their studies for the next two years at the Sydney campus. This allows students to study in the first year with local fees, which is a big money-saving advantage.
Why study the first year in the country?
In this arrangement, students can acclimatize to their education and culture before starting their studies in Sydney. By studying in Bangladesh for the first year, they will familiarize themselves with the Australian education system and be more prepared when they arrive in Sydney.
Why cooperation with Premier University of Chittagong?
UTS has initially started operations in Chittagong, but plans to expand to Dhaka in the future. Preparations are underway to open a new campus in Dhaka, which could be implemented by 2025.
What will students learn in Bangladesh?
First-year students at UTS will study business, IT and engineering in Bangladesh, which are very popular in Australia. Through these courses they will acquire technical skills as well as important soft skills like communication, teamwork and working independently.
UTS and its Bangladeshi partners have launched various collaborative programs to properly prepare students, which will help them with visas and other aspects of education.
