Pursuing higher education is an important moment in a student’s life, which helps shape the future. While local universities are popular, Bangladeshi students are increasingly looking at study abroad opportunities. However, getting admission in a prestigious international university requires expert guidance and access to the latest information. Realizing this need, MH Global Group subsidiaries AHZ and MIE Pathways are acting as trusted advisors, committed to helping Bangladeshi students on their global education journey.
“At AHZ and MIE Pathways, we take pride in enriching the academic journey of students and are committed to ensuring they have the best experience possible,” said Golam Mortuza, CEO, MH Global Group.
AHZ: Destinations for Bangladeshi Students in UK
According to UNESCO data, 52,799 Bangladeshi students studied abroad in 2023, of which 6,586 chose the UK. UK is known as a top choice among Bangladeshi students in higher education.
AHZ, founded in London in 2012, was started by two Bangladeshi international students who wanted to create educational opportunities for their fellow countrymen. Since its inception, AHZ has helped more than 25,000 students gain admission to UK universities. “We provide a free platform to Bangladeshi students, which helps them connect with UK universities,” said Mortuza.
AHZ partners with over 130 universities in the UK and operates nine offices in Bangladesh. The company is constantly expanding its presence in different parts of the world by opening new offices.
Counselling: An important service
Counseling services provided by AHZ are very important. Mortuza said these sessions provide detailed information on the cost of studying in the UK, job opportunities, culture and food. “Our counselors share their experiences in the UK, so that students can make informed decisions,” said Mortuza.
Programs and Opportunities
There are opportunities for Bangladeshi students to study in UK under NCTB and for English medium students. Over the past few years, UK university entry criteria have been aligned with Bangladeshi academic qualifications, allowing more Bangladeshi students to take advantage of these opportunities.
AHZ also offers Academic Foundations courses through their partner NCUK to help students with the application process. With support from NCUK, students can enroll in an International Foundation Year, which helps them prepare for their studies and improve their English skills.
AHZ and other initiatives of MIE Pathways
MIE Pathways, operated by the NCUK Bangladesh Centre, offers three specialized courses for aspiring students. Students complete the first year of an undergraduate degree at the MIE Pathways Center in Bangladesh, before progressing to universities around the world.
In addition, MIE English Academy offers English coaching and testing opportunities through the IELTS Centre. AHZ and MIE Pathways organize various events to raise awareness among students, where partner universities showcase their offerings.

AHZ and MIE Pathways are committed to providing students with world-class educational opportunities. They help the students with necessary information and proper guidelines, so that they can build their future.
